Too often, news about the state of children’s social care makes for worrying reading. The sector is beset by many challenges, and usually only makes the headlines when things go wrong.
Ofsted has been clear about what needs to improve in local authorities’ children’s services departments and, as we set out in our annual report on Wednesday, the overall picture is encouraging.
