Social services failings stopped parents seeing dying baby, says review

Social workers should have done more to allow couple to visit child, says ombudsman

The parents of a dying baby suffered a “horrifically stressful” time when they were stopped from seeing their child due to failings by social services, an official review has said.

Social workers deprived the parents of time alone with the critically ill baby after concerns were raised for his welfare.
